GETTING TO RIVER BEND LODGE & THE COTTAGES AT TROUT POINT
Trout Point can be reached in about 3 hours by car from Halifax and is 58 kilometers from the intersection of
Hwy. 103 and Hwy 203 at Shelburne. The drive from Yarmouth is an easy 35 minutes.
The web site flyHalifax provides complete information on air transport, including reservations
links. Porter Airlines now provides Halifax air service from Toronto`s City Center Airport. Zoom Airlines has direct flights from the United Kingdom and Paris, France to Halifax, which is also served
by Continental from New York, American Airlines from Boston, United from Washington, D.C., and Air Canada , among others. US Airways flies to Bar Harbor, Maine.
Summer and Fall ferries to Yarmouth run from Portland and Bar Harbor Maine. There is a year-round
ferry from St. John, NB to Digby, NS. Digby is about an hour's drive from Trout Point.

Driving Directions to Trout Point Lodge, East Kemptville, Yarmouth

FROM THE INTERNATIONAL FERRY TERMINAL AND YARMOUTH TOWN
Exit the ferry terminal and go straight
across the intersection. This is Forest Street. 1. Head east from Forest St - go 2.0 km 2. Turn left at Haley Rd - go
1.0 km, through the 4-way stoplight intersection 3. Continue on Hardscratch Rd - go 0.7 km 4. Turn right at HWY-103
- go until the Tusket exit 5. Take the Tusket exit and turn left onto Gavel Road Continue on Gavel Rd until you come
to a "Y" where the Canaan Road starts and there is a yield sign, turn left onto the Canaan Road; do not go towards Quinan!
You will stay on the Canaan Road until it ends at the paved Hwy. 203 and you see a sign for Kemptville. The Canaan Road turns
to dirt and gravel about half way through. 6. Turn right at HWY-203 - go 1.1 km You will stay on HWY 203 until the East
Branch Road in East Kemptville. 7. Stay on 203 passing Campbells Ln and then Jakes Lane 8. Arrive at Kemptville and
the Kemptville Store At Kemptville there will be a white Church and an intersection. East Kemptville is to the right over
the Tusket River Bridge. North Kemptville is to the left. This is a brand-new 2-lane bridge. Continue on HWY 203 until
the village ends--there will be no more farm houses or fields, only forest. You will go through a couple of sharp turns and
cross a small bridge. Look for the East Branch Road sign. There is a street light at the intersection of HWY 203 and East
Branch, Turn left onto the East Branch Road and follow the Lodge signs. FROM HALIFAX & HALIFAX AIRPORT From Halifax,
the fastest and easiest route is to take HWY 103 south to the second Shelburne exit, where you turn right and go to the East
Branch Road in East Kemptville, Yarmouth County 1. From the Airport, head northeast from Bell Blvd/Boulevard Bell - go
2.5 km 2. Bear right into the HWY-102 S entry ramp to Halifax/Dartmouth - o 33 km 3. Take the HWY-103 exit 1A to (HWY-3)/Peggys
Cove (HWY-333)/Lighthouse Route - go 0.5 km 4. Merge into HWY-103 W - go 6.4 km 5. Continue on HWY-103 - go 52 km 6.
Continue on HWY-103 W - go 3.3 km 7. Continue on HWY-103 - go 39 km 8. Continue on HWY-3 - go 21 km 9. Continue on
Lighthouse Route - go 8.5 km still 103 10. Continue on HWY-103 - go 21 km 11. Continue on Lighthouse Route - go 27 km
still 103 12. Continue on HWY-103 - go 14 km 13. Continue on Lighthouse Route - go 0.5 km still 103 14. Continue
on HWY-3 - go 5.0 km 15. Continue on HWY-103 - go 4.1 km 16.Turn right at HWY-203. This is the second Shelburne exit.
Turn right off HWY 103 towards the Ohios and East Kemptville. You will be driving through Lower, Middle, and Upper Ohio and
then enter a wilderness area. You will pass into Yarmouth County. Continue straight until you see power poles again and look
for the East Branch Road sign. Turn right onto the East Branch Road and follow the signs. From DIGBY 1. Take Hwy 101
towards Yarmouth 2. Get off Hwy. 101 at the “Weymouth” exit. From Weymouth, follow the signs for Carleton on
Hwy 340. 3. At Carleton, pick up Hwy 203 towards Kemptville and then go towards East Kemptville, following the directions
above.
